Atelier Des Ors

Atelier Des Ors was founded in 2015 by Jean-Philippe
Clermont, with perfumer Marie Salamagne as the creative nose behind its
fragrances. The name means “Workshop of Gold,” and gold becomes a leitmotif in
both symbolism and design for the brand: the bottles often contain 24-carat
gold flakes, and material craftsmanship and aesthetic elegance are central to
its identity.
What sets Atelier Des Ors apart is its blend of French haute
parfumerie traditions with a poetic, artistic voice. They embrace “slow
perfumery,” taking time to select rare raw materials ethically, collaborating
with master gilders and artisans, and focusing on olfactory storytelling - each
fragrance is meant to evoke memory, emotion, light, and elegance. Their bottles
reflect a hybrid design: modern lines combined with nods to Art Deco, sun-lit
glass, embossed details (e.g. rays), a sculptural presence and a seahorse
emblem on the cap.
