Byredo is a Swedish luxury fragrance brand founded in 2006 by Ben Gorham. The name "Byredo" is derived from the Old English word "redolence," meaning "sweet-smelling" or "fragrance." Gorham, who has a background in fine arts, was inspired to create Byredo after a meeting with French perfumer Pierre Wulff, which led him to channel his creativity into the olfactory arts. Byredo's mission is to translate memories and emotions into objects and experiences, offering a sensorial-led approach to creativity.

The brand is known for its minimalist Scandinavian design and unisex fragrances that evoke personal memories and stories. Byredo's portfolio includes iconic scents such as Gypsy Water, Blanche, and Rose of No Man's Land. In addition to fragrances, Byredo has expanded into leather goods, accessories, and fine jewelry, maintaining its commitment to craftsmanship and storytelling. In May 2022, Spanish luxury group Puig acquired a majority stake in Byredo, with Gorham continuing as the brand's creative force.
